Roger hated the sippy cup too, we went straight to the straw cup (HIGHLY recommend the Playtex squeeze train one) and he just drinks out of my water bottles sometimes. if he’s not into it i say skip it : )

We gave up on the sippy (have you tried it? It’s hard!) but have had major success with the straw version. E didn’t get it at first but I gave her a juice pouch followed by the straw cup and she got it right away. Good luck! :)
